Michael, originally from Louisville, KY, received his Bachelor’s Degree from Miami University (OH). After college, he played professional baseball in the New York Yankees and San Diego Padres organizations before sustaining a career-ending shoulder injury. Throughout his own successful post-op rehab experience, he developed a passion for physical therapy and pursued his doctorate degree in PT at the University of St. Augustine. After practicing for a couple years at OPPT in Carollwood, he went out west to travel and do contract work for 3 years before returning to OPPT in Hyde Park. He enjoys not only helping his patients restore function/activity tolerance, but also getting to know them on a personal level to identify their own intrinsic motivating factors to optimize their rehab experience.
